By purchasing or participating in any course, lesson, or program offered by Only in Spanish, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

These terms apply to:

• Private one-on-one lessons
• Semi-private lessons
• Group courses
• Workshops or intensive sessions

All services are provided from Toronto, Canada, and governed by the laws of Ontario.

• Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot.
• Prices are listed in CAD ($) and are subject to applicable taxes (HST).
• We accept credit/debit cards and PayPal. 
• For private one-on-one and semiprivate lessons, students have 6 months to use their classes after purchase.

Group courses have a minimum student threshold (e.g., 4 students). This will be clearly stated in the course.

• If the minimum is NOT reached by 3 days before the starting day, we reserve the right to:
  • Cancel the course entirely, or
  • Postpone the course to a later start date.
• In case of cancellation due to low enrollment:
  • You will receive a full refund or a credit toward another course (your choice).
  • We will notify you by email no later than 3 days before the original start date
• If the course is postponed:
  Your registration automatically transfers to the new date. If the new date does not work for you, you may request a full refund within 5 business days of the postponement notice.

• Cancel ≥ 24 hours before the lesson → reschedule (no fee).
• Cancel < 24 hours before → you may reschedule once per booking if the reason is an emergency/illness (documentation may be requested for repeat occurrences). 
• No-show (no notice) → no refund, no reschedule.

• Cancel ≥ 14 days before the first class → full refund minus a $20 admin fee.
• Cancel between 7–13 days before → 50% refund or credit.
• Cancel less than 7 days before → no refund, but you may transfer your spot to another person or get a credit (let us know at least 48 hours in advance).
• After the course starts: No refunds, except for documented medical reasons (pro-rated credit may be offered).
• Before the second class: No refunds, except for documented medical reasons (a pro-rated credit may be offered). You can get credit for other lessons.

• Cancel ≥ 48 hours before → full refund.
• Cancel < 48 hours before → no refund (but you may send someone else in your place).

• You agree to treat instructors and fellow students with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or repeated disruptive behaviour will result in immediate removal from the course without refund.
• You are responsible for a stable internet connection and a working camera/mic. No refunds for “technical issues” on your side.

• Group courses: If you miss a session, you are not entitled to a refund or a private make-up. We may offer a short recording or summary notes, but that is at our discretion.
• You can ask your teacher or another available instructor for paid make-up classes.

We reserve the right to:

• Change instructors (if the original instructor becomes unavailable) – you will be notified and may request a refund for unused sessions if the substitute is not acceptable.
• Reschedule a single class due to instructor illness/emergency – a make-up date will be offered.
• Cancel a course entirely (rare) – in that case, you receive a 100% refund of the unused portion.

All lesson materials, worksheets, recordings, and slide decks remain our property. You may not:

• Share them publicly or with non-enrolled students
• Record our lessons without explicit written permission (except for personal review only, and you may not redistribute)

To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost work, damaged devices).
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course/lesson in question.

We want to resolve issues fairly. Please email us first at onlyinspanish1@gmail.com with any complaints.

If not resolved within 14 days, either party may pursue mediation or small claims court in Toronto, Ontario. You agree that no class-action lawsuits will be filed against us.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. They help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page. Continued enrollment after changes constitutes acceptance.
